Cline published v4.1.25 on October 16, 2026. Its main addition is a gradual rollout of Cloud sessions in the editor: choose a GitHub repository and branch, start a task in a hosted sandbox, and let it continue after closing the editor.

What changed

The release notes say to enable Cloud sessions in Settings. Tasks appear in Recent and History with their status, and notify the user when finished. Availability in this release is explicitly described as gradual.

The same update fixes long local-model requests timing out after five minutes of silence, preserves attachments sent in answers to Cline's questions, and retries provider errors that interrupt a response up to three times. OpenAI-compatible base URLs are now used as entered, with a one-time migration for older host-only settings.

What the Cloud product page adds

The Cloud page describes browser and mobile access, isolated sessions and up to ten simultaneous tasks. Work is committed and pushed to a separate cline/ branch for review, and a session's GitHub token is scoped to its selected repository.

These browser-service descriptions do not establish that the v4.1.25 editor rollout has reached a particular account. Desktop handoff through /cloud and connectors inside Cloud sessions are marked coming soon, so they should not be treated as shipped here.

License and pricing

The release's repository license is Apache-2.0. Cline's pricing page says the open-source extension is free for individual developers, with usage-based inference through Cline or a user's own provider keys; Enterprise pricing is custom.

The Cloud page says free models are available. The cited pages do not provide a per-sandbox rate or establish that every Cloud configuration is free. Product capabilities and pricing were checked on October 17, 2026; this is not a hands-on review.
