Langfuse shipped v4.63.0 on October 16, 2026, following v4.61.0 and v4.62.0 earlier that day. This note groups the day's related releases rather than creating three near-duplicate launch cards.

What changed

  • v4.63.0 exposes skill management as a public v4 preview and adds a skill usage-metrics tab, alongside browsing and editing improvements.
  • AI Gateway updates separate gateway keys from organization API keys and attribute errors by origin. Slugless codex-prefixed models route to OpenAI connections.
  • Earlier that day, v4.61.0 introduced connection-slug model routing, per-connection model controls and traces for selected skill versions.
  • v4.62.0 raised the gateway request limit to 16 MiB and made execution limits configurable.

What to watch

Skill management is explicitly a preview. Gateway and tracing changes do not prove lower latency or better agent quality; those require workload-specific measurements. The release also fixes billable-unit accounting for dual-write observations, so operators should review usage reporting rather than infer that new features are free.

License and cost

The release-tag license uses MIT Expat outside the listed enterprise directories; those directories and third-party components have separate licenses. This is not a blanket MIT claim for every file. Software licensing is separate from hosted-service, inference and infrastructure charges; this note does not claim a free hosted tier.

These changes are reported by the maintainers. We have not independently benchmarked the release.
