WinDbg is Microsoft's debugger. The agent-facing piece is WinDbg MCP, announced October 6, 2026 and included from WinDbg version 1.2610.1001.0. Read the filing: WinDbg MCP.

Safeguards are on by default. The announcement is explicit that some unofficial clients lack MCP sampling and may require weakening cross-prompt injection protection. That tradeoff is the vendor's warning, repeated here so it is not lost.
